Angie's Bridge

This Bridge is called Angie's Bridge to honor Ms. Angela Hill, a homeless resident who lived under this bridge for 20 years and very sadly passed away in Feb 2021 due to the harsh winter. For many weeks after her passing, Ms. Sharon Wise, a homeless advocate called on people to come, remember, and celebrate Ms. Angie's life to remind her family and the community that she is not forgotten. Together with Positive Chalk DC we created a mural to honor Ms. Angie and I provided care kits to help many other unhoused friends in Ward 2.
