2020 INOVA GALA

INOVA Honors Gala went virtual for 2020 to honor 18,000 frontline team members across the Inova Health System — and the businesses and community organizations that helped them rise to the challenge of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Being part of my first MILLION dollars fundraiser was AMAZING! The money I raised went towards: 1. Purchasing Compassion Carts which are filled with healthy snacks because many staff dealing with COVID 19 cannot leave sanitized areas and take PPE off for several hours. Compassion Carts allow essential staff the ability to grab a quick snack during their long long day. 2. Providing mental health apps for free, such as calm and headspace, so Frontline Workers can take some time to decompress and relax after physically and emotionally stressful days.
Mission Accomplished! Sure feels good being back here as a Donor and not a Patient.
I did not mind that I got to talk to Alex Smith (QB Washington Football Team), Ryan Zimmerman (GO NATS) and Hamilton Broadway Stars Austin Scott and Alexa Capeda. They are all former INOVA patients too!
